MARCOPOLO CELEBRATES PRODUCTION OF ITS 450 THOUSANDTH BUS
Generation 8 Paradiso 1800 DD model was delivered to CIVA in Peru
Marcopolo, the largest Brazilian bus manufacturer and one of the global leaders, celebrates the production of its 450 thousandth vehicle. The unit, of the Generation 8 Paradiso 1800 Double Decker road model, was delivered to Grupo CIVA, one of the main passenger transport operators in Peru, which is celebrating 50 years of activity.

“Reaching this mark of 450 thousand buses produced is a unique achievement in the global bus industry that makes us very proud and demonstrates the brand’s global representation. Providing the commemorative vehicle to CIVA, a traditional customer with a fleet composed predominately of Marcopolo models, is even more important because the company is celebrating 50 years of activity”, highlights André Armaganijan, Marcopolo’s International Operations and Sales director.

The Paradiso 1800 DD Generation 8 and 450 thousandth bus is equipped with Marcopolo BioSafe solutions, such as internal finishes (handholds, curtains and coverings) with antimicrobial additives, a hand sanitizer dispenser at the entrance and on the upper floor and also has seats with three-point retractable seat belts equipped with sensors to indicate when the seat belt is not buckled and seats with massagers.

The model, developed with a structural concept that meets the R66.02 standard, is also equipped with an air conditioning system and forced heating through convectors.

CIVA has been a Marcopolo customer for over 30 years. With a fleet of over 300 buses, it operates throughout the Peruvian territory and is considered an innovative company committed to providing a quality, safe and comfortable service.
